Extra Curricular Activities

  1. Personality cum skill development programme :
    The college gives maximum emphasis on the development of students' moral character, discipline, punctuality, accountability, sense of dedication to the society, awareness against illiteracy, superstitions and other social evils.

  2. Students' Union :
    The college has a Students' Union i.e. HGDCSU Consisting of seven portfolios such as General Secretary, Asstt. General Secretary and Secretary for Cultural Affairs, Games & Sports, Social Service, Literary Section and Festival. The Union is constituted in a general meeting in the first half of August in each year. A student who does not have 75% of attendance in the classes will not be eligible for to be an office bearer of the Students' Union.

  3. N.S.S. :
    The college has a N.S.S. unit since 1999 through which students can develop their personality, work culture and leadership skill in the society. The NSS unit is considered as one of the reputed units of the GU .

  4. Cultural Activities :
    The college celebrates its Foundation Day (21" August), Freshman Social, Teachers' Day, Saraswati Puja and College Week in every year.

  5. College Magazine :
    1. The College Magazine, 'EJAR' is being published every year.
    2. Wall Magazine is also published every year on the occasion of Freshmen Social.

  6. Other Programmes :
    The college organizes Seminar, Debate, Quiz and Essay Writing competition etc. in every year. Besides, the college also organizes several sensitization programs on health, hygiene, poverty alleviation and preservation of the environment etc.
